Our services.
Zero in is a creative studio for 3D animation and motion design in Amsterdam. From product films and product explainers to commercials and everything in between: we bring your story to the screen, from the first idea to the final frame.
01 / Where we start
We start with the product.
What makes it interesting? Which detail deserves attention? And what should someone understand, or want to find out, once the film ends? That is where our work begins. We look for the visual idea that shows your product at its best.
3D product films
A new product deserves attention. We make a 3D product film that lets the design, the details and the character speak. For a launch, your website or a trade fair.
For example Komori, Bommel and Philips Baristina
How it works
Mechanics, parts and processes you cannot see from the outside. We dive into the technology and translate features into a clear visual story.
Commercials and motion design
For everything around 3D animation and motion design. From commercials and brand films to software explainers and short animations for social media.
For example KitKat, Isle of Paradise and PVH Prana
02 / How we work
From first idea to final frame.
01 / 06
Briefing and strategy
- We discuss your product, brand, audience and what the film needs to achieve.

Concept and storyboard
- We develop the concept and write a script where needed.

Design and art direction

- We match colours, typography and graphic elements to your brand.
- We build the 3D models and other visual assets that are needed.

Animation and motion design
- We make an animatic to set the timing, rhythm and camera moves.
- We build out the shots with animation and, where needed, simulations.
- We render the images in high quality and bring everything together in the edit, with music and sound design.

03 / Frequently asked questions
Good to know.
What do you need to get started?
A briefing and as much product knowledge as possible. Think 3D models or CAD files, product photos and technical information. If there is already a script or story, we build on it. We check up front which material is usable and what still needs to be made.
How long does a production take?
For product films we usually plan four to eight weeks. Shorter productions, such as a single animation or a social video, are welcome too. The length and complexity, the available material and the feedback moments set the timeline, which we agree on together up front.
How do you set the budget?
Every film is made to measure. We discuss your budget and develop a concept that fits it. The content, the level of detail, the length and the versions you need are set out in a proposal, so it is clear up front what we make and what it costs.
Which formats do you deliver?
In the formats you need: widescreen for your website and presentations, and vertical or square versions for social media.
Why 3D instead of filming?
With 3D you can show a product before it is in production, in shots that are hard or impossible with a camera: from the inside, in cross-section or in a world of its own. Colours, variants and details are easy to change later.
Can we give feedback along the way?
We plan the moments you look in together: at the concept and storyboard, the visual direction and the animation. Agreements about feedback rounds and deliveries are part of the proposal.
